Creative Mentoring
My work
Through a variety of art forms I celebrate and repurpose imperfections in nature. giving new attention to the unwanted and celebrating the unexpected.
I see immense beauty in the faded, overlooked and unwanted and have a bit of an obsession with rusty or found objects and love finding ways to incorporate them into my work.
Tulip petal papyrus
Basically I just do anything with plants and botanicals that I love; where I can indulge my passions, skills and superpowers acquired over my maaaaany years and many incarnations 😉.
You may know me from my days as a floral designer (formerly Firenza Floral Design and Firenza Flowers), I’ve stepped away from that a little in that I don’t do weddings, events or commercial floristry as such, instead creating large scale installations as more permanent features - think more sculpture or piece of art.
In truth it’s really hard to express succinctly what I do so I’ve broken it down:
It’s all pretty diverse really!
Photographer
I create still life images, floral vignettes & designs and photograph them in my beloved Dutch Masters / chiaroscuro style.

Installation & Land artist
Creating sculptures and pieces of art from botanicals, paper or both. I have been creating installations for over ten years and have worked with some incredible clients.

In 2025 I am taking my Installation Masterclasses on tour.
installation of paper made from dandelion clocks
Handmade paper maker
Even the term ‘paper’ can mean a multitude of things, but I make paper as art forms in their own right - with texture, unevenness and imperfection.
Tulip petal papyrus, paper made from dandelion clocks or mares tail; treasure journals from recycled packing materials with twigs for a spine - anything I can experiment with in my garden ‘wet studio’, which lies just a few steps from my ‘floral pantry’

Creative mentor
Having acquired an immense amount of knowledge I feel driven to pass it on to others. From an early career in high end colour printing handling top design agencies & global companies through to juggling the gamut of skills required to establish and develop my own thriving business. As well as everything I’ve learned whilst reinventing myself and following new art forms, there is a wealth of advice and insights others can benefit from. I love to help other creatives unearth their dream and find a way to get there.
My studio
Tour round my garden and studios
My studio
I work from my home studio, a tiny upstairs space which is always full of distractions and inspiration.
The paper gets made outside in the ‘wet workshop’, where I can make as much mess as I need.

My garden
Everything I create stems from my garden and carving out time to tend to it is one of my highest priorities.
I feel most at sea and unsettled when the garden gets neglected and falls apart, which inevitably happens when I’m busy working and travelling.
I’m constantly tweaking what I grow to fit with my ever-changing art (and tastes).
